The BurtonBerg Christmas Special Part #2

Meanwhile in Shelby's lab, our little gorgon girl was hard at work with her inventions.

Shelby: *tightening a few bolts* Perfect! My device is almost complete. All it needs now is a finely cut quartz crystal to power it up... Too bad I don't have the money...

Just then, Simone and Grimella enter the lab and approach Shelby.

Simone and Grimella: Hey, Shelby! ^^

Shelby: *sees them* What are you two doing here? You could have told me you were visiting...

Grimella: Where's the fun in being expected to show up?

Shelby: Well what do you need? I'm kinda busy at the moment...

Simone: We need to use your teleporter to go to the North Pole...

Shelby: Out of the question! You have any idea how severe the conditions are up north? Especially at this time of the year...

Grimella: Well Marissa teased Simone for believing in Santa Claus, and we need to show her that he's real!

Shelby: Wait... you want to go to the North Pole to see Saint Nick? It's impossible!

Grimella: Oh jeez, not you too... -_-

Shelby: Let me finish. It's impossible.... without my help

Simone: You mean, you'll help us?

Shelby: Hey, you two are my friends! besides it's the holidays Let me get my teleporter calibrated for your trip... although it might take a few days... *goes to her teleporter*

Grimella: Thank you so much!

Shelby: No problem *starts calibrating her teleporter*

A few days later, Christmas Eve to be exact, the teleporter is fully calibrated and ready to send Simone and Grimella to the North Pole.

They arrive at the North Pole, and as Shelby predicted, it's very chilly and there's a minor, but survivable blizzard.

Grimella: *shivering a bit* Brrr... It's so cold... You see the pole anywhere, Simone?

Simone: *looks around for a bit, then sees a red and white striped pole with a gold sign on it that reads "North Pole"* There! I see it!

They run up to the pole... but it looks like there's nothing except said pole...

Simone: T..this can't be right... Where's the factory?

Grimella: Simone... I'm starting to think that Marissa was right... Maybe Santa Claus is only a story... I'm sorry..

Simone: But... but... *she starts to cry a bit... but then smells something* What the? *smells again* O.O... I smell... *smells a third time* Gingerbread!

Grimella: Oh no... the blizzard is screwing with her mind... *goes to her... but then she smells the gingerbread as well* O.O... what the!?

Simone: It smells so sweet... *walks around and then stops* It's stronger over here! *follows the wonderful smell and we see her vanish in an instant!*

Grimella: Simone? SIMONE!! *follows her steps and vanishes as well*
